Planned Sensor Data (Customer-Controlled Processing)

Motion sensor data (will be processed locally on your device by default)
Camera footage (will be processed locally; you'll control if/when specific clips are shared for model improvement)
Door/window sensor status and device presence patterns
Edge cases and model uncertainties (only shared if you opt into assisted learning)
False positives/negatives identified by your system (shared only with your explicit criteria and consent)

Technical Information (Planned)

Device identifiers and hardware information
System logs for troubleshooting (will be anonymized)
Usage analytics (will be aggregated and anonymized)

Local Security Intelligence: To learn your patterns and provide adaptive security (will be processed on your device)

How Assisted Learning Will Work

This describes our planned implementation:

You configure criteria: Select which data sources, time periods, and types of events can be candidates for sharing
System identifies edge cases: Your local system will detect ambiguities, false positives/negatives, and model uncertainties
Selective data sharing: Only qualifying scenarios (based on your criteria) will be encrypted and sent to our servers
Model retraining: Our systems will improve models using aggregated learnings from participating customers
Enhanced models delivered: Updated AI models will be pushed back to your edge system for better performance

With your explicit consent: When you specifically authorize us to share information for support or other purposes
Service providers: With trusted partners who help us operate the service (under strict data protection agreements)
Legal requirements: When required by law or to protect our legal rights
Emergency situations: To prevent harm to you or others (e.g., if you trigger an emergency alert)

Important: For Assisted Learning, you maintain full control over which cameras, sensors, time periods, and types of scenarios can be considered for sharing. You can modify or revoke these permissions at any time.

Temporal Controls: Define specific time windows and scenarios when data sharing is allowed
Service Level Selection: Choose between fully local processing or assisted learning at any time
Access: Request a copy of the personal data we have about you

Deletion: Request deletion of your account and associated data

Security Measures

We implement appropriate technical and organizational measures to protect your data:

Data Retention

Email communications: Until you unsubscribe or request deletion
Account data: Until you delete your account
Local sensor data: Stored and processed locally according to your device settings (typically 30-90 days)
Assisted learning data: Edge cases shared for model improvement are retained on our servers for up to 2 years, then deleted
Trained models: Improved AI models remain on our systems to benefit the service, but contain no personal information
Support data: Customer service records retained for 2 years
Technical logs: Anonymized system logs kept for up to 1 year for service improvement

Note: You can request deletion of any shared assisted learning data at any time. This will not affect the improved models that have already been deployed to customer systems.

International Data Transfers

Data sovereignty and location depends on your chosen deployment model:

Local Processing: All data remains on your premises with no external transfers
Assisted Learning: Shared data processed in UK/EU servers with strong privacy protections
Airgapped Solutions: Complete data sovereignty within your controlled infrastructure
Transfer safeguards: When international transfers are necessary for support, we use standard contractual clauses and adequacy decisions

Changes to This Policy

As we develop and launch our product, we may update this privacy policy to reflect new features and capabilities. We'll notify you of significant changes by email (to the address associated with your account) or by posting a notice on our website. Your continued use of the service after changes become effective will constitute your acceptance of the updated policy.
